Anglers should be aware of the legal requirements in place before they book a Wheelyboat. There are three main sets of conditions to be aware of as follows
General Wheelyboat conditions
The following apply to all Wheelyboats:
1. Within seven days of booking a boat (or immediately if the booking is less than seven days away) you ring the Wheelyboat operator to tell him where you have booked the boat to fish, so that he can make sure that the beat is properly warned and suitable arrangements made for your particular disability
2. Your disability still allows you to get in and out of a wheelchair with help from the Wheelyboat operator, should it be necessary. Also that you are able to stay in your wheelchair in the boat without help for meaningful periods and that you can cast a rod from your chair.
3. The Wheelyboat can be used between 9am and 5pm on each day it has been booked with an hour off at lunch time. In summer it can sometimes be arranged for the boat to be used in the evening rather than the afternoon, but only if conditions merit it, the Wheelybaot operator is available, and he and the beat have both agreed to it.
Individual river conditions
You should also check the individual rivers page (see links in left margin) as they may have extra conditions on top of the general ones above.
FishPal booking conditions
This site uses the FishPal booking engine, so if you use our online booking system, or our call centre on 01573 470612, you need to agree to FishPal's booking conditions.
You will be given another opportunity to read all these conditions before doing any online booking, where you have to indicate your agreement to them. They will also be included in the joining instructions you are given when your booking has been completed.
