River Bain

The Bain rises in the Lincolnshire Wolds at Luford and wends its way through the countryside before joining the River Waring at Horncastle.

The river contains wild brown trout as well as significant populations of chub, roach, rudd and bream, as well as pike and eels. There is also a population of native crayfish although pockets of American Signal Crayfish have been found.
